Everyone knows that kids learn best when they are having fun. The team at Knowledge Adventure knows that very well – they are the team behind popular kid’s educational software brands such as JumpStart and MathBlaster.
The JumpStart line is geared towards 3-5 year olds preparing for grade school and focuses on learning the essential pre-reading, early math, social studies, art, music, computer skills, and critical thinking skills they will need in Kindergarten. They use adventure, fun characters, and repetition to help kids grasp concepts and learn while having fun. My kids all loved playing the games when they were younger.
Now that they are older, they enjoy MathBlaster and testing their math skills regularly. The interactivity of the math games for kids takes the tedium away from the memorization required to grasp a lot of the early concepts. I love the idea of the Math for the Real World series, too.
When it comes to kids educational games, Knowledge Adventure continues to produce some of the best titles around. I would like to see them make some of these titles for the handheld game systems like Nintendo DS.
PS – they are offering free shipping on all titles right now – perfect for keeping the learning going all summer long.
